Each bag contains 8—12 intact dead heads (dried blossoms without the petals, just the seeds) and loose seeds. 2014/2015 mix is mostly black-eyed susans, purple cone flowers, and lilies.
Go to the area you want to have flowers. Wearing sturdy gloves, crush/crumble the dead heads to release the seeds, letting them scatter. Water daily until you see sprouts.
Each bag contains about 1,000 seeds, hand culled and packaged by Woonsocket teens in the Green Design Lab at Riverzedge Arts.
